From the beginning of Immobilizer I to version V, ESAT Inc has been working with North American and European repair facilities to find solutions that dealer level facilities will not offer independent repair facilities.
It all begins with a scan and knowing the type of system installed. To date, ESAT Inc is able to gather information on Immobilizer systems from version I to V.
We are now able to directly connect our computers to the repair facility computers and with special hardware and software combinations and acquire the PIN code(s) required to complete controller exchanges and key programming.
There are unusual circumstances where that direct connection is not possible and the controller needs to be sent to ESAT Inc for de-encryption. Those models will include the A4 RB4 and RB8 instrument clusters.
In order to partner with ESAT Inc and have direct access to this technology, there needs to be a contract and an agreements in place.
1. The facility must be a member of the Autowerks TSG.
2. The facility must install software provided by ESAT Inc.
3. The facility must not interfere, delete or attempt to reverse engineer any software or hardware provided by ESAT Inc.
4. The software and hardware is property of ESAT Inc.
5. ESAT Inc has the right to request the return of all hardware.
6. All PIN codes are pay per incident.
We have found several methods to attempt to acquire PIN codes and not all methods work on all vehicles. Up to Immobilizer III solutions and PIN codes need to be matched within the Immobilizer and Engine Control Module. Immobilizer IV and V will require more work because of the complexity and where the security codes reside.
More and more repair facilities are stuggling with Immobilizer issues as the VW, Audi, Bentley Continental and Porsche Cayenne begin to show their age. Issues can be defective instrument clusters, engine controllers or keys that were lost or need to be initilaized. There is now a select group of repair facilities that have the ability to acquire PIN codes and complete most Immobilizer adaptations.
